Added: 13.05.2013 9:27 | 25 views | 0 comments

The Walking Dead retail release is new at No.9.

BioShock Infinite is the only other game to hold three consecutive weeks at the top in 2013.

Activision's Black Ops 2 climbs four places to No.2 thanks to a 60 per cent increase in sales brought about by retailer promotions. Tomb Raider is at No.3, Injustice falls from No.2 to No.4 and FIFA 13 drops a single place to No.5.

The week's highest new entry is Telltale's The Walking Dead at No.9, with PQube's Persona 4 Arena also new at No.11.

Star Trek The Video Game is the week's major loser, falling 14 places from No.10 to No.24.

Star Trek Review | GameGrin

Star Trek: The Video Game manages to achieve the impossible. The developers have harnessed some hitherto unknown anti-dimensional black-matter pseudo-science particles to make a barely seven hour game feel like an eternity when you are slogging through it. Impressive, considering the licence and support behind the title but once again this conveniently timed release feels like nothing more than a cash-in.

Star Trek Review [Capsule Computers]

Added: 12.05.2013 9:17 | 11 views | 0 comments

Dustin Spencer from Capsule Computers writes: "Resident Evil 5 was and still remains to be one my favorite games of all time. Sure, it has its critics, but the co-op experience in my opinion has been unmatched, and even with a computer player controlling Sheva, I still had a fantastic time. Why am I comparing that game to something like Star Trek? Well, Star Trek has been promoted as a co-op driven adventure in space, where players take control of Kirk and Spock with a brand new storyline in tow. Maybe it was my own expectations here, but I kind of thought of this release as Resident Evil 5 in space. Digital Extremes have been known for putting out some decent romps on consoles before, and there was a lot of reason to be hyped for this game - licensed or not. Does this game live long and prosper, or should it be fed to the Gorn? "

TMG: Star Trek Review

Added: 12.05.2013 0:18 | 1 views | 0 comments

TMG: Licensed video games based off of upcoming movies are almost never what most would consider, good. Rarely are they anything worth discussing, generally because the games are rushed out in order to coincide with a films release. With Star Trek, though, there was at least a glimmer of hope for it. Originally announced at E3 2011, it seemed that the game could have been a decent third person shooter, as the game was being written in conjunction with the film. However, what we got was a broken mess of a game not fit to bear the name Star Trek.

Star Trek: The Video Game Review | The Gamers' Temple

Added: 11.05.2013 18:19 | 5 views | 0 comments

The Gamers' Temple: "Even if you view it as a gaming exercise in Mystery Science Theatre 3000, it is still infuriating to the point that making fun of it loses its charm. I know there is a contingent of Trekkies out there that will buy anything with Star Trek emblazoned on it, and that's fine; buy it, put it on your display shelf and never, ever play it."

OXCGNs Star Trek: The Video Game Review- Dammit Jim, Im a movie tie-in, not an innovative game

OXCGN: "Simply titled Star Trek: The Video Game, the game was released as a tie in to the new movie, Star Trek: Into Darkness. It is set sometime between the two movies and promised a whole lot for Star Trek fans. It promised, but did it deliver? Well the uninspired title gives you a hint, unfortunately."
